I used to have an association of The Goddess and Divine Feminine with Lilith Fair, body hair, and bad New Age art (see above). I’ve outgrown this association for the most part, but the spectre of it lingers when I speak of working with the Divine Feminine because I don’t want you to think of me that way (I’ve been working with this fear and have some thoughts about it but that’s its own article).
You may not have any such associations, and feel ready to embrace the Goddess, but are perhaps still unsure as to how that looks in practical terms. Like what does it actually mean to work with the Divine Feminine? Do you need to get a statue of Mary or Quan Yin and light some candles? Is that all there is to it?
I am pleased to announce that I’ve jumped on the podcast bandwagon! Yay! A few months ago a friend/client recommended that I start doing one and I liked the idea but wasn’t sure what I would talk about. Then I was volunteering at the Community Healing Sanctuary and literally had people lining up for Akashic Healing sessions and the lightbulb went on.
Maybe that could be my podcast! I could just give people readings. I still wasn’t sure, but when my friend Lang was looking for guests for his podcast, I jumped at the chance to try it out. Doing Lang’s podcast was a fun and easy way to get over my jitters.
So here I am a few months later with my first episode! In this one my friend “Heather” (not her real name) stopped by my office and we consulted the Records about romance, the tumultuous nature of her life, and lots more.
Thank you “Heather” for being my first guest! If you’re interested in getting a free Akashic Healing session for the podcast I’d love to have you! We can do it over the internet so you don’t need to be in my part of the world. Just email me and we’ll set it up.
Thanks for listening!
The other day I was with some friends and one of them gave the other a business card from their mutual acquaintance. The card was beautiful and when my friends said as much, a petulant voice within me protested, “What about my cards?! They’re pretty too!!”
It’s stupid, right? The idea that I’m diminished in any way when someone gives a woman I’ve never met a compliment is ridiculous. And over something as insignificant as business cards of all things!
There’s a story that’s been floating around my mind for the past few days about a monk who was sitting in his cave (or perhaps it was a hut) trying to meditate. This was proving difficult because right outside was the demon Mara (an embodiment of fear and representative of all the lies we hold about ourselves and the world), howling and wailing, being terrible and fearsome.
As many of you know, I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Esalen for their work scholar program to study the Energetics of Consciousness with Paul Selig for one month. It was an incredible experience and one that I’ll be unwrapping for a long time. I communed with nature, cleaned a lot of toilets, had some extraordinary energetic attunements, made friends for life and uncovered aspects of myself I hadn’t previously imagined possible.
I have so much to share and so much that I’m still processing, but one of the things I’m most excited about is the discovery of a new ability that I’m tentatively calling Akashic Healing. The easiest way to describe it is to tell you how I came into it, so here goes:
