The other day I was with some friends and one of them gave the other a business card from their mutual acquaintance. The card was beautiful and when my friends said as much, a petulant voice within me protested, “What about my cards?! They’re pretty too!!”
It’s stupid, right? The idea that I’m diminished in any way when someone gives a woman I’ve never met a compliment is ridiculous. And over something as insignificant as business cards of all things!
As many of you know, I was blessed with the opportunity to go to Esalen for their work scholar program to study the Energetics of Consciousness with Paul Selig for one month. It was an incredible experience and one that I’ll be unwrapping for a long time. I communed with nature, cleaned a lot of toilets, had some extraordinary energetic attunements, made friends for life and uncovered aspects of myself I hadn’t previously imagined possible.
I have so much to share and so much that I’m still processing, but one of the things I’m most excited about is the discovery of a new ability that I’m tentatively calling Akashic Healing. The easiest way to describe it is to tell you how I came into it, so here goes:
For about ten months now I have been graced with recurring yeast infections. They’ve been minor, but still extremely irritating, and very, very persistent. For those of you who’ve never had the delightful experience of a yeast infection, it shows up as itching and inflammation in the lady parts. It’s horrible, basically, and has been a constant in my life since January 1. I literally got the first symptoms on New Years.
